
Botanical Themed Clay Bowl
Have some time out on this exciting clay experimental workshop!
Workshop Description
During the session, you will learn how to prepare clay and experiment with surface texture and composition. You will use flowers/leaves/grasses and decorative button stamps to print into the clay, creating beautiful designs. Your final piece will be a shallow bowl—you can use all the techniques and textures achieved during your experimental stage. You will be working with Air Drying Clay—which will not be glazed. This will need time to dry at home. You will be provided with a pot of glaze and acrylic paint to decorate your bowl after the workshop. You will be given printed materials to follow at home, with loads of inspiration to help. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. All materials will be provided, including: Apron Clay Rolling Pin Texture materials Acrylic Paint Paint brushes Acrylic Glaze You will be able to take your work at the end of the workshop to paint when dry, or just add the glaze to be able to use decoratively at home or gift to a loved one! Guidance and advice will be given throughout the session, alongside written and visual instructions and loads of inspiration. Session time - Approx 3 hours
