WINTER 2010
January 21 to March 11, 2010 (8 weeks)

BEGINNING DRAWING FOR ALL AGES - $70*
Thursdays 3:00 to 4:00 in the Art Room
We will learn to draw our FAVORITE ANIMALS with basic shapes and lines using pencil and watercolor pencils (to create colorful paintings), oil pastels and black pencil outline on special paper. Our animals will "live" in fantastic, imaginative background settings while we EXPLORE ways to make art easy and fun! Students will take turns identifying SHADOWS and apply them to a cartoon figure!
Grades K-5. This class is for beginners; class size limit is 18. (Classes will be appropriate for K through 5th grades; art projects will be adjusted for age differences. ART SUPPLIES ARE INCLUDED.)
3 Penguins by Lara Nour Walton (Fall 2009)

ADVANCED ART METHODS - $75*
Thursdays 4:15 to 5:15 in the Art Room
Students will have the opportunity to BRING IMAGES TO DRAW and create art in appropriate media. We will focus on CONCEPT & FAVORITE SUBJECTS.
We will also get to know a Master Artist (like Matisse or Van Gogh), do a “study” reproduction and understand the background of a painting as well as its techniques. A variety of art media will be used.
Grades 3-5. This class is designed for students who have taken my class before or have some previous art experience. Class size limit is 15. (ART SUPPLIES ARE INCLUDED.)
